Nevada Loves Kids

Trauma-informed life-skills enrichment · Ages 6–12

A developing program of Nevada Loves Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We teach resilience, emotional awareness, and everyday life skills—not therapy.

Our goal: support the whole child

We’re working toward an ecosystem of partners across school, home, and community: schools reinforcing learning, caregivers supporting everyday practice, and youth-serving organizations providing complementary supports. This is a future goal, not an established network; no partnerships or endorsements are being announced.

Existing resources to review

  • Draft 12-week schedule for proposed 60-minute sessions
  • Age-specific curriculum for ages 6–8 and 9–12
  • Twelve age-specific lesson plans with printable materials
  • Books, illustrated story videos, and take-home practice

Materials are available now and continue to be refined. Younger children use bright cartoons and play; older children use illustrated stories and everyday challenges.

One curriculum: the Six Life Skills

Know Myself · Calm My Body · Guide My Thoughts · Connect With Others · Choose My Actions · Build My Future

Proposed pilot—not yet operating

An initial 12-week small-group pilot could help refine the programming. Facilitators, training, location, supervision, safeguarding, accessibility, costs, and evaluation must be agreed before delivery. Dates, locations, and delivery partners are not confirmed.

Possible evaluation: participation, engagement, and skill practice, with agreed measures, consent, and data handling. The curriculum is research-informed; program effectiveness has not yet been established.

Safety and scope

Children may pass or watch. No required trauma disclosure. This is enrichment, not therapy, and it does not replace families, mentors, schools, or health care. It does not claim proven suicide prevention. Children should not face adversity or structural barriers alone.
